Overview
In my development work, I aim to bridge the gap between complex back-end systems and intuitive digital experiences. This portfolio showcases four of my most significant projects, where I have taken full ownership of the end-to-end development lifecycle from architectural planning and secure database design to responsive front-end implementation and accessibility optimization. Each project reflects my commitment to clean, maintainable code and my drive to build tools that solve real-world problems efficiently and inclusively using a wide array of technologies and tools.
Personal Budgeting Web Application
Tech Stack
Project Overview
An enterprise-grade, full-stack personal finance platform engineered to bypass the rigid data constraints and tracking limitations of commercial budgeting utilities. Built on a robust .NET 8 MVC architectural framework, the system is designed to decouple complex backend routing logic from dynamic client-side rendering engines.
The application delivers real-time asset analytics, secure data persistence, and bank-grade authentication protocols. By pairing an agile, document-based NoSQL database through Cloud Firestore with automated cloud deployment pipelines on Azure Web Apps, the platform balances high-availability cloud performance with rigorous engineering principles.
Highlights
- Dynamic ‘What-If’ Engine: Built a client-side reactive forecasting tool using JS/jQuery for instant scenario modeling with zero database overhead.
- Bank-Grade Authentication: Implemented MFA via
Otp.NET, secure password hashing withBCrypt.Net, and 15-minute sliding session timeouts. - Asynchronous Data Analytics: Integrated
Chart.jspipelines to map Firestore data arrays into real-time doughnut and 12-month rolling line trends. - Algorithmic Goal Tracking: Designed an automated target calculator that continuously shifts monthly saving velocity vectors based on priority.
- Credential Protection: Isolated core database architecture by handling SDK access strictly via OS-level secure environment variables.

Empirical Games Research
Tech Stack
Project Overview
An independent computer science research study developed under the supervision of Dr. Nathan Arnold. This Java application models and simulates Tiered Coalition Formation Games, which is a game theory framework used to group and analyze competitive options when there isn’t a single “objectively best” choice. The software tests how groups of agents interact, move between ranks, and naturally organize into stable tiers.
This project provides a Command Line Interface and does not provide a Graphical User Interface.
Highlights
- Multi-Phase Development: Built the simulation engine in stages, starting with basic automated agent movements and advancing to complex “stochastic” scenarios where matchups involve percentage-based win probabilities rather than fixed outcomes.
- Performance Testing: Ran a large-scale data experiment executing over 5,000 randomized test cases. The empirical data successfully proved that the system’s sorting algorithms resolve efficiently in a very low number of steps.
- Robust File I/O & Validation: Designed a clean, interactive text menu that lets users import complex game data from standard
.csvfiles and automatically validates all keyboard inputs to prevent crashes.
Rainbow Six: Siege – Strategy Drawing Application
Tech Stack
Project Overview
An interactive, web-based strategy mapping application designed to help teams visualize and coordinate real-time tactical plans for the game Rainbow Six Siege. Built using raw front-end technologies and integrated with an HTML Canvas rendering layer, the app allows users to select dynamic map blueprints, swap between floor levels, and sketch tactical paths directly over the official layouts.
Highlights
- Dynamic HTML Canvas Interface: Programmed a custom interactive drawing layer from scratch, providing a clean UI that gives users full control over pen color, stroke width, and instant canvas clearing.
- Real-Time Synchronized Collaboration: Architected the application to support multiple concurrent clients. By integrating standard WebSockets, all drawing inputs and map adjustments sync instantly across connected player screens.
- Flexible Deployment Architecture: Engineered a modular codebase that runs flawlessly as a lightweight, zero-dependency local application, or scales up smoothly to a cloud-hosted live environment via Heroku.

Metronome Application
Tech Stack
Project Overview
A custom, multi-functional desktop application built in C# using Windows Forms to streamline instrument practice. Designed as a solo personal project to eliminate the need for switching between multiple browser windows, the application combines high-precision audio synchronization with practice management tools and an embedded media player.
Highlights
- Precision Timing & Customization: Engineered a core metronome engine capable of handling dynamic Beats Per Minute (BPM) tracking, adjustable time signatures, responsive volume sliding, and real-time audio sample switching.
- Smart Tap Tempo Integration: Programmed a dynamic interval-averaging algorithm that translates physical user mouse clicks into instant, mathematically accurate BPM settings.
- Persistent Practice Management: Implemented persistent local data storage using .NET application settings to allow users to build, save, and reload a “Songs to Learn” list that seamlessly populates upon app initialization.
- All-in-One Practice Tooling: Integrated an embedded YouTube Music web component and built a centralized “Tools Hub” form linking out to supplementary, music-related utilities.
